There are many reasons for this but in 95% of the cases the cause is what is called male or female pattern hair loss. The technical term for pattern baldness is Androgenetic Alopecia. In this day and age hair loss is a very common problem not only among males but among females as well. While it is no picnic for men the effects of loosing hair for women has greater psychological and social implications.

Propecia
Propecia is a medicine that has been found to be very effective in treating hair loss in men. This finding says that after continuously taking propecia has grown hair effectively in nearly 66 percent of sufferers. Among 83 percent of those who took this treatment were found to maintain healthy hair after two years. Propecia is not suitable for women.
