Strategic planning is all about who does what by when. Each team member must take personal responsibility to ensure effective execution of the plan. Yet in today’s business world where it is much easier to blame the other guy or gal for not doing what he or she is required to do, the act of personal responsibility seems much more difficult.
Many times employees’ failures to be responsible are because they have received mixed messages from management. These messages may be communicated from the senior leadership time or through existing policies and procedures. Whatever the vehicle, the bottom line is that the strategic plan is not executed efficiently (doing things right) and effectively (doing the right thing).

As an online business coach, I have helped many service business professionals market their services online and get more customers online. When we just start working together, many of my clients tell me that they can’t get any service clients online. This is because they usually promote their services by advertising them on online message boards and rarely get any qualified leads from these ads.
Why does this happen? This happens because your service is a high-ticket item. Because of the high price not too many people would buy it when they hear about it for the first time on a message board. Because a service costs a lot of money and requires some commitment on the customer’s part, it has a longer sales cycle then a product.

- For a very important date!

Since time management is really an oxymoron given that you cannot manage a constant, then to improve time management skills must begin with you and your self leadership skills. One of these critical self leadership skills is just learning how to say no.
